PERSONAL: Spicy Korean Rice Cakes (Duk Boki) Recipe

http://koreanfood.about.com/od/snacksanddesserts/r/Dukboki.htm

Now I know how it is spelt using the Roman alphabet - not topoki, but duk boki. It sure sounds like topoki; the [d] is actually a [t], have to check if it is dental, aspirated etc, because it's different than the Malay [t].

Su'ad took me to this famous restaurant at the 'duk boki' town. It was jam packed. The restaurant is not that big, but the tables are arranged in such a way that they can accomodate many customers... and i mean many customers. To get to my table, I had to really squeeze myself (stomach in that is) and walked sideways to reach to the table. But it was worth it.

The journey to was quite long... a few subways, a few walkways, a few shivering ways, well lots of shivering, felt like my teeth were hitting each other, my legs too... so damn cold, but enjoyed it... feel like dancing in the rain, nope like dancing in the cold..

anyhow, the duk boki was really, really, really delicious, and will definitely have it again before I go back. Oh, in case my friends are wondering why odi writes in full spelling... she needs to let her nephews and nieces read all the notes to their Tok Noli... if odi uses sms language, only odi will understand it..
